301 redirects so we have one URL
I would really like to be able to have ONE url for my site. At the moment my google juice is split between http://geekswithblogs.net/hinshelm and http://blog.hinshelwood.com
I would like to have only http://blog.hinshelwood.com and have all other URL’s 301 to this one. I am happy to support the GWB brand by having a shield on my blog, or to have “Provided by GeeksWithBlogs.net” at the bottom of the template.
15 votesI am definitely leaning your way because we have noticed a drop in Google placement with the custom URLs. We would need to figure out what the link back to GWB would be. More than a side bar badge because the branding is important to searchers who trust GWB content. Would you be apposed to a small 30px bar on the top of the blog with GWB on it and some other tools for readers?

Add a "source code" block to the blog editor
This would make it much easier to post actual source code without it looking like plain text or a big mess. Many forums have this tool available (e.g. put [source][/source] around the source code) and it would be awesome if GWB had a similar tool.
15 votesI definitely like the idea you have here. Do the offerings in WLW for source plugins not work for you? Also, what if we integrated with a snippet provider instead?

Gist Support
I wish I could put gists from github.com in my blogposts. I need the ability to use script tags to do so though.
15 votesWhat exactly would you want integrated? Just a list of your recent Gists on the sidebar as a Widget or someone linking them into posts?

Better stats tracking
The current visit information is useful, but it is very hard to mine. I have also found that it seems to record visits that Google and Statcounter don't through their widgets. It would be great to see this feature enhanced.

Add the ability to put users in a "group"
It would be great if users could create groups and "invite" other people to be in their group, making it easy for users to see blogs/articles written by other people in their group. The idea behind this is our company wants a developers blog, but don't want to host it ourselves. If we could create a "group" that only our staff belong to, then developers would be posting blogs/articles on your site for all to see, but with the main intention that it is useful for other developers at our company.....basically allowing for an easy way for people to see…
3 votesDefinitely like this idea

Mobile App
Have you seen the WP7 mobile app for WordPress? It gives me a single gate way to manage comments on my blogs. I can also create new posts while on the move. I would like similar capability for GWB.

Optimize site layout for mobile devices
My google analytics suggest that there is maximum drop in the traffic when my readers are accessing the blog through mobile devices. The zoom in to read content template layout does not work best and needs to be optimized.
3 votesThe new minimal template has some basic optimization for mobile, but we are also working on a fully responsive redesigned GWB layout. This one is hopefully coming very soon!

New Layouts
Many of the layout templates have very long side panels. There are also many times that templates wrap unexpectedly or the blog title and tag line don't format correctly. Can we get some new options with two column side panels and better formatting consistency

Automated GWB branded Twitter feed of new posts
While blogs are great for expressing complete thoughts they have taken a back seat for distributing links to this content. It would be great to see new post automatically sent out on an official Twitter, G+ and Facebook feeds to extend the reach of our community.

Enable delete of URL links
Is is possible to have anoption whereby URL links on comments can be deleted without dropping the rest rest of the comment. The reason I ask this is that I receive many comments that are just an excuse to post a link to some other site.
2 votesCurrently we only remove the comments, but all links are nofollow specific. Why would you want to remove the links but leave the comment?

Git / Codeplex / Bitbucket Integration
Be able to provide a link to GitHub source url and that displayed within the blog post, easier rather than copy pasting the code? I will think more ideas and keep updating this idea. But this is will be a good to have integration.
