New Layouts
Many of the layout templates have very long side panels. There are also many times that templates wrap unexpectedly or the blog title and tag line don't format correctly. Can we get some new options with two column side panels and better formatting consistency

Again, this is great feedback. Thanks for elaborating on all your frustrations - I had no idea about any of these issues. I'll get a list going and start working thru them. What I'm hearing from you is:
- Blog Titles + Post Titles Overlaying on Leafy, Rain, Glossy Blue templates
- Several, if not all templates have really long archive and category sections that scroll on forever.
- The Informatif pushes post content below the fold.
- The Minimal template doesn't honor image tag height/width dimensions in the static news area.
- All templates need a home link to GWB homepageI'll be honest: I'm probably going to tackle the Minimal template first and make sure it's all in order, since that is the template we're pushing right now and making the most improvements to. I think we can fix the archive links going too long by having them click-to-expandable, or truncating with a simple "more" link to expand.
Thanks again for all your support and great blogs on the site. I'll be in touch soon!

Ben,
This week I went through every template again to find out which ones work the best. The big problem on most of them is that the links such as archives and categories runs on for ever. The problem with the blog titles is that some times the text starts overlaying each other. If the title like mine ".NET Software Architecture Blog" and the subtitle "Adventures in architecting and developing .NET" are long the letters start overlaying each other (Leafy, Rain and Glossy Blue do this).
My favorite template right now is informatif but it pushes content on the post page down below the bottom of the screen forcing readers to scroll down to read the post.
Minimal doesn't honor some of my image tag width and height attributes in the Static News/Annoucements and they bleed into the post content.
I am using Semagogy right now because it over all has a nice clean layout. It's only problem is that the links go way to long.
One other thing that I think would be good is if all the templates had home buttons/tags to the GWB home page.
Thanks,

Hey Tim,
This is good feedback and we've had several people bring it up. We released the new Minimal template a short while ago which is a 3 column semi-responsive template based on Twitter Bootstrap. Now we're focusing on a complete site redesign, after which we plan to do some additional templates that follow the look & feel of the new site.
You've probably seen it already, but just in case, the minimal template is on the Staff of Geeks blog here:
http://geekswithblogs.net/Administrator/archive/2013/02/12/latest-geekswithblogs-features-disqus-integration-social-share-buttons.aspxCan you elaborate about what you mean regarding long side panels? I think you're talking about all the different sections that can be listed in the side columns, such as Archives, Links, Categories, etc etc.
Also, if you're able to provide an example of the blog title inconsistencies, that would help me know exactly what kind of titles to use for testing when we're building the new templates.
All the best!
